I'm a bit past due for a blog entry so here we go.

Sandy Springs, Georgia held their Independence Day celebration on July 3rd instead of the 4th this year - probably so as to NOT compete with the big one at Lenox Mall on the 4th.  Rain delayed the start of the music for 30 or 40 minutes but once the rain stopped, the band Shiloh put on a fine show and the fireworks display was excellent.

I left my tripod at home so I had an opportunity to practice my hand-held long exposure techniques.

I used a Sony NEX-7 with the standard 18-55mm kit lens using various ISO and exposure settings.
